Terms of Service

In short: CDL Response is a service operated by JournAI LLC ("Company") that provides a managed, operational response and preliminary-qualification service to trucking carriers. We do not make hiring decisions, and carriers remain responsible for consent, compliance, and all employment determinations.

Scope of service

CDL Response, operated by JournAI LLC ("Company"), provides an initial-response and preliminary-qualification service for driver applicants, on behalf of and as authorized by a participating carrier ("Carrier"). Coverage is continuous (24/7) by default; applicant volume and pricing for each engagement are defined in that Carrier's service agreement.

What is not included

The service does not include, and does not represent: final hiring qualification, background checks, driving-record review, drug or alcohol testing, FMCSA Clearinghouse searches, employment verification, medical-card verification, or any other legal or safety compliance determination. These remain the sole responsibility of the Carrier and its authorized compliance providers.

Carrier responsibilities

Maintaining lawful, documented applicant messaging consent before any applicant is contacted.
Authorizing CDL Response to act on the Carrier's behalf for the specific job posting(s) covered.
Providing accurate qualification criteria and approving message scripts.
Making all final hiring, safety, and compliance decisions.
Ensuring a recruiter is available to act on handoffs in a timely manner, including outside standard business hours.

No guarantee of hiring outcomes

CDL Response guarantees the operational steps under its control — response time and preliminary qualification as defined in the applicable service agreement. It does not guarantee that any applicant will be hired, retained, or seated, as these outcomes depend on factors outside the service's control.

Term and cancellation

Service is billed monthly and continues until cancelled — there is no minimum term and no separate arrangement required to begin. A Carrier may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Applicant volume beyond the plan's included monthly limit requires an approved upgrade, as described in the applicable service agreement.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
